For instructors
Sheets for shop class.
Free, printable, no sign-up. Every column names its standard, so the sheet teaches sourcing as well as sizes.
Why these work as handouts
Each sheet prints in the orientation its table needs, uses tabular figures so columns line up, and carries no halftone fills, so it stays legible from a classroom photocopier and from a wall at a few metres.
Where the numbers come from
The source block prints with the sheet. A student can see that a diameter came from one document and a resistance figure from another, which is a harder lesson to teach from a table with no citation at all.
What is deliberately missing
There is no ampacity column on the wire gauge sheet. Current capacity depends on the installation, so it belongs on a page that can carry the code conditions with it. Worth saying out loud to a class that will meet plenty of tables that do not make that distinction.
Sheets ready to print
- Wire Gauge Chart Every size from 4/0 through 40 AWG, with no gaps. Includes 16–22 AWG for speaker and 12 V work. Prints landscape
- Drill Bit Size Chart Fractional sizes only: every 64th from 1/64 to 1 inch, with no gaps. Prints portrait
- Fraction to Decimal Chart Every 64th from 1/64 to 1 inch, with no gaps. Prints portrait
Need a sheet that is not here?
If you teach a unit that needs a table we have not published, say which standard it should come from and it goes to the front of the verification queue. A request with a standard attached is worth more to this project than a traffic estimate.
